Thanksgiving Day

27 Nov

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side.  At some point in the travels, our parents will arrive at their destination and step from the train, leaving us on this journey alone.  As time goes by, other people will board the train and they will be significant; our siblings, spouses, children, friends and a stranger or two.  Many will arrive at another station and depart from us leaving a vacuum.  Others will go unnoticed and we did not realize their seats are vacant.

This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes and farewells.  Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring we give the best of ourselves.  The mystery to all passengers?  We do not know which station we ourselves will vacate our seats.  So we  must live in the best way; to love, to forgive and offer the best of who we are.  The importance of being the best we are is when the time comes for us to leave, we leave behind beautiful memories and positive experiences for those who continue to travel on this train of Life.

In wishing each of you a joyful journey, thanking God for each day we have together, let us be grateful each and every day we draw breath and that we continue together on this train holding our tickets close to our hearts.

Sent from my friend, Flo Makofske and shared with you this Thanksgiving Day.
