Part Two–Wayne Homens Presentation

azuriteGeologist, Wayne Homens is visiting our guild for Part Two of  a series in the identification of rocks, gems and minerals and understanding their use in pigments.

Bring any samples you have for identification and to determine if they can be used for pigments.  Masks and gloves will be provided  when we crush samples and grind them into pigment!  A discussion of the toxicity and safe handling of all pigments used in iconography will be presented so please bring a notebook.  Handouts are provided to those who attend.
